Bio:

Andrew "Hacksaw" Harney is a Boston based mutli instrumentalist. His instruments include: guitar, harmonica, bass, mandolin, violin, viola, piano, banjo, dobro, and trombone. Andrew grew up playing local blues jams in Salem, Ma. These jams put him ahead of other musicians his own age. "Quoted as saying: " No younger musicians play live anymore. Live playing is key, it is where one learns best, on the fly." Andrew has played with The James Montgomery Band, Harper and Midwest Kind and was guitarist with Barrence Whitfield from Barrence Whitfield and the Savages. 

Andrew studied at Berklee College of Music for the 2012-13 year. He studied with finger style guitar legend Norm Zocher.  He now plays shows with some Berklee professors, Norm being one as well as Dan Bowden and Jeff Lockhart.

Today:

Now back from recording his debut cd in Tampa FL, Andrew is working on his 2nd cd which will feature some very special guests. 

Andrew currently resides in his hometown of Beverly, Ma. He is moving to  Nashville after this cd is complete. Andrew teaches private lessons on all the instruments he plays. Andrew also is now touring around the New England area. His first cd is available to purchase on itunes under Andrew "Hacksaw" Harney.
